Meyauna Campbell, Melanie Londoño, Christian Lopez, and Melvin Reyes are the latest recipients of the prestigious Aarón Sánchez Scholarship. Their recent relocation to New Orleans signifies the beginning of an exciting chapter as they immerse themselves in the world of culinary arts at the New Orleans Culinary & Hospitality Institute (NOCHI)


The Aarón Sánchez Scholarship is a unique opportunity for young Latinos passionate about culinary arts. Founded by Chef Aarón Sánchez, the Scholarship aims to nurture and empower emerging talents, providing them with the tools and mentorship needed to become tomorrow's culinary leaders.

Meyauna Campbell: Meyauna has Dominican heritage, a flair for creativity, and a love for sharing flavors with others. She will bring a fresh perspective to the culinary scene. Her journey from her hometown of Baltimore is a testament to her dedication to honing her craft and embracing new challenges.

Melanie Londoño: Melanie's love for baking and culinary arts is deeply rooted in her Colombian background. Her journey, from her hometown of St. Petersburg, Florida, to the heart of New Orleans, is a testament to her determination to work hard, and merge tradition with modern techniques, creating culinary masterpieces that tell a story.

Christian Lopez: Christian brings his Mexican culture and style to the kitchen. His relocation from Los Angeles county to New Orleans is not just a change of scenery, but a transformative experience that will help him refine his skills and develop a unique culinary identity.
